Ingredients
2 Tbsp Aka/red miso (Aka miso from Japan that also has bits of grain and seed in it is best)
1 Tbsp granulated sugar
2 Tbsp ground toasted sesame seeds
1 – 1.5 tsp garlic (minced)
1 Tbsp dark soy sauce (Lee Kum Kee dark soy sauce is best)
1 Tbsp toasted sesame oil
1 – 1.5 tsp green onion (minced)
Procedure
Grind sesame seeds in food processor.
Mix sesame seeds in a bowl with sugar.
Add dark soy sauce and sesame oil to bowl and mix.
Add Miso to bowl and mix.
Add garlic and green onion to bowl and mix.
Can be used immediately after mixing, or stored in the fridge in an air-tight container for a week. Use as dipping sauce for sukiyaki, yakitori, terriaki beef, Korean BBQ, etc. or as a rub / marinade for grilled meats.
