Italian Ricotta Cookies

Total Time:  30 minutes
Makes about 30 cookies

Cookie Ingredients:
1 stick butter
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 Tbsp vanilla
8oz ricotta cheese
2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder

Glaze Ingredients:
3/4 cup powdered sugar
2 Tablespoons whole milk
Sprinkle of Colored Sanding Sugar
Procedure:
Mix one stick softened butter with one cup of sugar.
Add one egg, one Tablespoon of vanilla, and 8oz of ricotta cheese to the sugar mixture and combine.
In a separate bowl mix 2 cups flour, 1/2 teaspoon baking soda, and 1/2 teaspoon baking powder.
Combine flour mixture and ricotta mixture.
Place teaspoon sized balls on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 10 minutes at 350F.
After cookies are cooled, whisk together glaze ingredients and coat cookie tops.
Sprinkle with colored sanding sugar.
